The Mountain View, California-based company said it had profit of 8 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 17 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.
The provider of Internet-based heath insurance agency services posted revenue of $41.2 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Analysts expected $41.8 million, according to Zacks.
EHealth expects full-year earnings in the range of 30 cents to 43 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $185 million to $194 million.
